Chelsea 'start initial negotiations with Porto over Telles'

Chelsea have reportedly started initial negotiations with Porto over signing left back Alex Telles this summer.

Both Blues left backs Marcos Alonso and Emerson Palmieri were linked to moves away from Stamford Bridge in the January transfer window.

It is no secret that Chelsea boss Frank Lampard wishes to bolster his defensive options in the summer.

Telles has scored 10 goals and provided nine assists in 40 appearances for Porto this season.  

The 27-year-old Brazilian has just one year left on his current deal at the Portuguese outfit.
