Laser Hair Removal – Reducing unwanted hairs
Laser treatment for hair removal has been around since the 1950s. Laser treatment was initially utilized to remove unwanted hairs. The main advantage of laser treatment for hair removal was that it was effective and 脫毛 painful. Nowadays, it is used to remove unwanted body hair and facial hair.
Laser treatments for removing unwanted body hair work best when they target the hair’s source. Hair that is not wanted moves through three stages: anagen is the time when hair starts growing; cuticle is the place where hair is protected by the cuticle; dormancy is when hair sheds. This happens after two to three years. For many people hair in their bodies grows quickly for many months only to fall out in one year. Although this can be a bit of a snarl, it is not uncommon to see hair grow back again. In the course of laser treatments, however hairs don’t just fall off; rather, they are destroyed, 脫毛 preventing them to grow back.
There are a variety of laser treatment to remove hair which include plucking, waxing, shaving and threading. The process of waxing is extremely painful and can leave skin red, flaky and irritated for a few days following treatment. Many people find the process of waxing to be painful and believe it is temporary. Although some believe that permanent reduction in hair can be achieved through waxing, this isn’t true. Waxing does not permanently damage the skin. The hair grows back rapidly. Laser treatments differ.
Another benefit of laser treatment is that it can be used on larger areas of the body than waxing may treat. Lasers can treat larger areas as they can pinpoint the areas that require treatment. While it is possible to treat small areas at one time but you have to wait for several treatments to achieve results. While waxing can be done on a single leg or area of the body, it’s possible to perform multiple treatments with lasers.
Waxing is a method to remove hairs from smaller areas to large areas. It can leave the skin raw and irritated for several weeks following treatment. The issue with waxing is that the patient must dip a tampon in the wax and then apply it to the skin, which can cause scars. Some patients report that waxing doesn’t take off dark skin color well. Because of these factors, laser treatment is often recommended for light skin tones and dark skin colors.
Laser hair reduction may trigger adverse effects. While there is generally no discomfort than waxing, some individuals experience some slight swelling at the treatment area or some minor itching or rash. These side effects are generally temporary and will go away without treatment. Many patients report that these adverse effects aren’t enough to make them discontinue treatment with lasers to remove unwanted hairs.
